Our project consists in building a Moon colony which will allow lots of advancements regarding space exploration. We plan to exploit the satellite’s benefits in our interest, make it the home for the future space missions. It is the perfect place to do so, its close position making it ideal. At first, our colony will be built with Earth support, then it will become scientifically independent, only relying on our mother planet for resources which are less likely to be found there, such as water, not found in high quantities on the Moon, making it impossible to sustain a colony for long term. Our ultimate goal is a colony which will lead to new discoveries regarding outer space, the center of the conquest of the unknown Universe, and we strongly believe that such thing is possible, giving the rapid advancement of technology and the constant improvement of devices.
Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η αναφορά μερικών σπουδαίων αποστολών που γράφτηκαν στην ιστορία αλλά και η διερεύνηση μιας λύσης για το πρόβλημα της μεταφοράς των ανθρώπων σε άλλον πλανήτη είτε εξαιτίας της ανάγκης τους για εξερεύνηση, είτε γιατί είναι απαραίτητο για την επιβίωσή τους, καθώς επίσης και η αναφορά στις βασικές απαιτούμενες προϋποθέσεις για ένα τέτοιο ταξίδι.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n4ANANAmi4 During this project we created a global space program, where we analysed the lunar circumstances and the effects on different objects. In the first part of our work we made researches to get theoretical knownledge. On this basis we constructed and bulit a unique and realistic moon landscape, where we imitated a lunar exploration with an autonomous robot developed by us. After this we designed and modeled a 3D moonbase and we made animation of it. We constructed a landing unit also. Beside of our videos we also added ESA and NASA animations to our video essay.
